Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my bowstring 1/2" too short?
Date: 5/14/2006
Printer Friendly Version

All Zebra bowstring lengths are recorded under the weight of an undrawn bow, approximately 100 lbs. Of course, not everyone has the capability of measuring a string under this amount of tension. Therefore, a Zebra string that is taken off a tuned bow and elongated will measure approximately 1/2" shorter than the advertised length. Likewise, cables will measure approximately 1/4" shorter when not placed under tension.
